Fantasy Portraits

How the process works.

  1. Contact me with your requests and ideas.

Close-up of a dog with black and brown fur, laying on the floor with paws crossed, looking upwards in a relaxed indoor setting.

2. I’ll email you to discuss specifics and get reference photos for artwork details.

Illustration of a scared dog with wide eyes and a yellow bone-shaped tag labeled "Buckley," next to a silhouette of a black cat with glowing eyes.

3. I’ll send you a working copy of the artwork for your approval or so you can request changes.

Illustration of a surprised dog with a bone-shaped tag labeled 'Buckley', wearing a striped bow tie, with a shadowy cat figure in the background.

4. Receive your digital file for screen display or have it printed at your favorite photo printer.

The final artworks look best printed at 16x20 inches or smaller.

(I’ve gotten good results printing on canvas at CVS and they are usually done the same day. )

Modern portraiture should go beyond simply showing the subjects’ appearances to providing a glimpse of their personalities and character. I strive to show who the person is, not just what they look like.
